Long Length Coils In Small Sections
Traverse wound spools offer long length coils in small sections that are difficult or impossible to handle as pancake coils.
Traverse Winding has been a successful in-house development enabling Knight Strip Metals to offer strip on a range of spools from 25kg to 100kg in weight.
From 3mm up to 19mm
Knight Strip Metals is able to supply a full range of metals in precision narrow width, thin gauge sizes sheared directly on to traverse wound spools. Shearing width range is from 3mm up to 19mm.
A crush-welding machine is used to join spools and coils to give the required metal strip length to meet spool capacity.

As an alternative to the single coil 'pancake' form of supply, the Traverse Wound spool offers:
